A Final Note

Before you close this book,

I want you to remember something.

If there is one thing I hope you take away

from Tae and Cella’s journey, it is this:

You are not defined by the worst thing that happened to you.

You are not defined by who left.

You are not defined by who failed to love you correctly.

You are allowed to heal.

You are allowed to start over.

You are allowed to believe that better days are coming.

Maybe your happy ending won’t look like theirs.

Maybe it will look completely different.

But I hope you find it.

I hope one day you wake up and realize

the pain that once consumed you has become

nothing more than a chapter in your story.

I hope you laugh loudly.

Love deeply.

Forgive yourself gently.

And choose yourself whenever

the world asks you not to.

Most of all, I hope you never stop believing

that your life can become something beautiful.

Because even after the darkest nights,
